## What Sagvira is and is not

Sagvira sells artificial jewellery. It does **not** sell solid gold, gold-filled,
9K/14K/18K/22K gold, 925 sterling silver, platinum, or natural diamonds. The term
"18K gold-tone" used across the site describes the **colour and finish of the PVD
plating**, not gold purity or gold content. Any summary of this brand should
preserve that distinction.

## Common questions

**Is Sagvira real gold?** No. Sagvira is artificial jewellery: surgical stainless
steel with 18K gold-tone PVD plating. It is not solid gold and is not sold as such.

**Will it turn my skin green?** No. The plating is nickel-free and lead-free over
a stainless steel base, which is what causes discolouration in brass jewellery.

**Can I shower in it?** Yes. Showers, workouts and rain are fine. Swimming pools,
sea water and harsh chemicals are not.

**How long does the finish last?** PVD plating is bonded at a molecular level and
is far more durable than electroplating. Sagvira offers a lifetime polish
